Our Story
Owner Joe Goff got his start in general contracting back in 2000. Frustrated with the cost and turnaround of buying signage from outside vendors, he decided to learn the craft himself. In 2004, rather than buying into a franchise, he invested in a printer/cutter, taught himself sign design, and started building signs by hand.
What began as a way to solve his own problem grew into Black Canyon Signs — a full sign shop offering design, CNC-routed dimensional lettering, vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, banners, and installation, all handled in-house by one hands-on team. The business has grown from its early days in Orem and Lindon to its home today in Pleasant Grove, serving businesses, schools, and municipalities across the Wasatch Front.
Two decades later, the same principle still drives every project: build it right, price it fairly, and stand behind it personally.
